Why has my card payment been declined?

Card payments may be declined for several reasons. You can check the specific reason directly in the Moneybase app, where it will appear on your dashboard.


If this is your first time using the card, you will need to complete a PIN-enabled transaction to activate it. This can be done using Google Pay, Apple Pay, another supported wallet, or by using the physical card at a terminal that requires a PIN.


Other things to check:

  1. Make sure there are enough funds in your account

  2. Open the Cards section in the app to ensure your card is not frozen

  3. Check that the required settings (such as Online, Swipe or ATM transactions) are enabled for your card


If everything appears in order and the payment is still being declined, please contact our support team for assistance.
