What authentication options can I use on the Moneybase desktop version?

Modified on Thu, 27 Nov, 2025 at 12:32 PM

Your Moneybase account is protected by Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for added security. By default, after entering your 4-digit passcode, you will be prompted to enter a 6-digit code sent to your registered mobile number via SMS.

If you prefer, you can switch from SMS to using an authenticator app. Supported options include Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or similar apps.

To change your 2FA method:

  1. Log in at https://live.moneybase.com/

  2. Click the settings icon in the top right corner

  3. Select 2FA Login Settings

  4. Choose Authenticator App as your preferred method

If you later decide to return to SMS, repeat the same steps and choose SMS - Mobile phone as your primary verification method.
