How to add a friendly name to your account

Modified on Tue, 3 Nov at 8:32 AM

If you have more than one Moneybase account, you can give each one a friendly name to make it easier to identify.

A friendly name is a name of your choice that helps you distinguish between your accounts. For example, you might use "Joint Account" or "Minor Account".

How to add or change your friendly name

You can add or update your friendly name through the Moneybase web portal by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the Moneybase web portal.
  2. Click the Settings (⚙️) icon in the top-right corner, next to your name and account code.
  3. Select View Profile.
  4. Click the pencil icon below your name.
  5. Enter your preferred friendly name and save your changes.

Your chosen friendly name will then be displayed in the Moneybase web portal.

Can I add or change my friendly name through the mobile app?

Not yet. This feature is currently only available through the Moneybase web portal.

We're actively working on bringing it to the mobile app. Until then, please note that:

  • Your friendly name will only be displayed in the web portal.
  • The mobile app will continue to show your default account name.
