Add a Friendly Name to Your Account

If you have more than one Moneybase account, adding a friendly name can make it much easier to identify the right account when using the web portal.

How to add a friendly name

1. Log in to the Moneybase web portal.
2. Click the Settings (⚙️) icon in the top-right corner, next to your name and account code.
3. Select View Profile.
4. Click the pencil icon below your name.
5. Enter your preferred friendly name and save your changes.

Your chosen friendly name will then be displayed in the Moneybase web portal.

Can I do this from the mobile app?

Not yet.

Adding or editing a friendly name is currently only available through the Moneybase web portal.

We're actively working on bringing this feature to the mobile app. Until then:

• You can create or update your friendly name from the web portal.
• The friendly name will only be visible in the web portal.
• The mobile app will continue to display your default account name until this feature is introduced.

Why should I use a friendly name?

Friendly names are especially useful if you have multiple accounts, for example:

• Joint Account
• Minor Account

This makes it easier to quickly identify the account you're looking for when using the web portal.
