If you are contacting us to let us know that an investor has passed away, we are sorry for your loss.
To help us begin the estate settlement process, we will need certain documents from the heir or heirs, or from the person handling the estate.
What documents do we need?
Before we can proceed, we require the following documents as certified true copies of the originals, signed in wet ink:
• Death Certificate issued by the Public Registry
• Public Registry searches
• Searches for secret wills
• Copy of the latest will, as long as it revokes all previous wills
• Interpretation of the will, specifically relating to the assets held with Calamatta Cuschieri
• Copies of the ID cards of the heir or heirs
• Contact details of the heir or heirs
What if there is no will?
If the deceased did not leave a will, we will also need a Court Decree confirming who the legal heir or heirs are.
Important information
Please make sure that all documents are submitted as certified true copies of the originals and signed in wet ink. We will only be able to proceed with the estate settlement once all required documentation has been received and reviewed.
If you need any guidance on the documents required, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
