How long does it take for a cross-border payment to be received?

Modified on Tue, 7 Apr at 10:32 AM

Cross-border payments normally take between 2 to 3 working days to be received, depending on the specific circumstances of the transaction. This can vary based on factors such as the currency, the banks involved, and whether intermediary or correspondent banks are part of the payment chain.

Please note that the receipt of funds depends not only on when the payment was initiated by the sending bank, but also on the receiving bank’s cut-off times and the correspondent banking network.

If the payment has still not been received after 5 working days and you would like us to investigate, it is important that you send us the proof of payment. This should include all the necessary details for us to trace the transfer, such as the IBAN, beneficiary details, payment amount, date, and any available transaction reference.
