Moneybase Auto Top-Up card deposit function helps you keep your account balance sufficiently funded by depositing cash seamlessly on your Moneybase account when your balance falls below a pre-set level. This gives you peace of mind that you have available funds to cater for all of your transactions such as p2p and card payments. 


For example, if you set a rule to top-up your account whenever your balance falls below €50, and you make a purchase that brings your balance below this amount, Moneybase will automatically add the amount you set in the background. Users are able to set one rule per currency and each rule works independently of each other. Auto top-up rules can be modified or deleted at any time from your mobile app.


To enable an Auto Top-Up, go to your Moneybase app select Add funds, Auto Top-Up, Add New to customise your low balance limit and the preferred top-up amount. You may customise your desired parameters within the following set ranges:


Auto Top-up Limits:

  • Up to 5 times per day and 12 times per week
  • Maximum amount per day: €2,500 (or the equivalent in your currency)
  • Maximum amount per week: €5,000 (or equivalent)
  • You may set one Auto top-up per currency held at any point in time
  • Low balance range is between Eur10 and Eur1,000,000

Moneybase supports a total of 12 currencies for card top-ups. This applies for both manual as well as auto top ups.

If the above limits are exceeded, you may continue using the standard top-up method until limits are reset automatically.


To add a new card to your existing list so that it may be used for your automatic top-up, please make a deposit by card first and 'Save' the card details. For security reasons, the new card will be available for auto-top-ups after 30 days.
