Cashback is linked to the purchase that earned it. If an eligible purchase is later refunded or reversed, the cashback earned on that purchase is reversed as well. This keeps your cashback in line with what you actually spent.
Occasional refunds are a normal part of shopping and are handled automatically. Repeated reversals or any misuse of the programme can affect your ability to earn cashback. See Can Moneybase withhold or stop my cashback?
